From the organic agriculture for fodder of our livestock, to new works for the solar thermal and use of biomasses, “La Fratta” looks at a future of sustainability and territorial integrity
A brief history
“La Fratta” persists to this day, almost untouched, with all its charm, thanks to continuous and intense agricultural activity which is still alive: 400 hectares of land used for organic farming mostly aimed to livestock production.
The farm structures, very elegant and functional, the villa, beautiful and hamonious, the lovely church, the Italian garden, the courtyard, the farm areas, the sorrounding countryside… make “la Fratta” a pearl in the Siena countryside; a pearl which can be fully enjoyed only if approached with the awareness that it is not a museum and even a touristic facility. “La Fratta” is a real farm.
